These coached sessions aim to help you become more competent at warming up, performing fundamental exercises for all major muscle groups and giving a basic understanding of how to manipulate major training variables. Our coaches will lead you through how to use various equipment and movements to maximise your climbing.

Join our beginner’s training session and become a powerhouse on the wall.

Over the course of two action-packed weeks, our experienced coaches will guide you through the essential foundations of rock climbing strength and conditioning.

In Week 1, we’ll focus on warming up effectively, mastering upper body exercises, and gaining a basic understanding of training variables. Get ready to put theory into practice with a challenging workout designed to target all major muscle groups. Plus, if time allows, we’ll finish off with some rejuvenating stretching.

In Week 2, we’ll recap the previous week’s lessons and delve into lower body exercises, accompanied by more advanced theory. Once again, you’ll have the opportunity to put your knowledge to the test with a dynamic workout routine. And of course, we’ll make time for stretching to enhance your flexibility and recovery. Parking: There is plenty of parking at Freemans Parc and the car park has no time limit or closing hours.

Please Arrive 10 Minutes Early: it takes time to fit your climbing shoes, check your paperwork, etc, before your session starts.

Getting here: We are easy to get to via car, train, or on foot. Find us on google maps Here

Parking: There is plenty of parking at Freemans Parc and the car park has no time limit or closing hours.

What to wear: Wear loose comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). It can be a little chilly in the winter, so make sure you have some warm clothes. However, you will warm up while climbing – wearing ‘layers’ that can be added or removed as required is ideal. Please bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes.

Lockers: We have free to use lockers, which require your own padlocks (available at reception).  However we cannot take responsibility for your valuables, so ideally do not bring anything of significant value to the centre.

Café: We have a great café serving coffee, cake and soft drinks.

You can cancel your bookings so long as you give us reasonable notice. This is different depending on what type of session you have booked.

Parties: 7 days notice required.
Term Bookings: 7 days notice required (from the first session)
